Job description

Job Description:

Baptist Health is looking for a Financial Operations Analyst II to join their Finance Department. This is a work from home position that requires
residency in KY or IN.

Under the supervision of the Director Financial Operations of assigned Market(s), assists with supporting market senior and department leadership with overall financial accountability in achieving approved budget targets.

Essential Functions:

  • Assists with researching, analyzing and summarizing market financial performance, including budget vs. actual and trended variance analysis for all statistical, revenue and expense accounts.

  • Assists with market financial and operating accountability review meetings with operating and finance department leadership, including ensuring that required variance explanations are documented in the management reporting system.

  • Assists with market discretionary spend, position control and capital review and approval processes.

  • Assists with market management reporting activities, including department meetings and month end performance reviews with System Financial Operations

  • Assists with compilation of annual operating and capital budgets, including working with market leadership to develop key volume assumptions, revenue rate assumptions, expense inflation assumptions, labor targets and other budget initiatives.

  • Assists with compilation of market rolling forecasts and capital projections, including working with market leadership to develop key volume assumptions, revenue rate assumptions, expense inflation assumptions, labor targets and other initiatives.

  • Assist in the capital planning process, including assisting operational leaders with navigating the capital approval and prioritization process, drafting of business briefs and plans and monitoring projected estimates to complete on approved projects.

Minimum Education, Experience, Training and Licensures Required

  • Bachelor's in Finance, Accounting, Analytics or Business or related field.

  • Two years' experience in public accounting, accounting, budgeting or financial planning in lieu of degree.

  • Healthcare experience preferred but not required.
