We currently have an exciting opportunity as a National Account Manager – Retail USA. This role is based in North Carolina & Georgia.

Job Summary

The National Account Manager – Retail USA will be responsible managing and growing footprint in the United States with National Home Center Accounts.

Product ranges are Plumbing and Electrical

Principal Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day primary Sales Contact.

  • Manage and grow the existing customer and prospect new opportunities.

  • Lead PLR’s (Product Line Reviews) and proposals in terms of strategy, assortments and pricing. Collaborate with Sales and Customer Service, Marketing, Supply Chain and Manufacturing.

  • Assist NSM in defining market/product growth opportunities and service infrastructure initiatives.

  • Collect market and competitor intelligence.

  • Develop sales budget, prepare/present customer business plans and reviews.

  • Develop strategic account plans for each area of account responsibility.

  • Develop in depth product knowledge and become the expert in this space

  • Ability to collaborate with demand planning and supply chain to develop forecasts for each area of account responsibility

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelors degree in business or commerce or equivalent work experience

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience managing national DIY accounts and building supply dealers/hardware stores at the corporate level

  • Rough plumbing, electrical or other building product knowledge is an asset.

  • Management experience will be an asset

  • Experience with sales tools – CRM, etc.

  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel

  • Relationship builder, positive attitude, friendly, collaborative and responsive.

  • Confident, self-starter, entrepreneurial.

  • Critical thinker, problem solver, decision maker

  • Qualified risk taker with attention to detail and a sense of urgency.

  • Value selling, negotiating.
