We have an opportunity for an experienced Product Owner looking to take their career to the next level within our business Finance area. We are seeking a candidate who will bring their strengths in digital innovation, stakeholder management, product lifecycle management and a passion for Agile ways of working .
Reporting to the Business Platforms Manager, this position sits within Platform Engineering, which is within Digital Services. This is a key role which requires a senior Product Owner, as you will be leading an operational Finance team alongside supporting all of the Finance, Strategic Procurement, and Risk Office business areas. Your seniority will be key to ensure you effectively engage with stakeholders and maintain relationships across this diverse Finance space. The core areas of focus for this role is to drive value, innovation, and capabilities into the current product ecosystem , while embedding Agile ways of working within the Finance Support Services team. The result will be a more efficient, capability rich, modern and secure product ecosystem.

This position is full-time (37.5 hours/week) fixed term (12 month) role.
The salary range is between $110,100 - $140,000 per annum dependent on skills and experience
This role is based out of our Newmarket campus, but flexible working (including work from home) is widely utilised.

The primary objective of Connect is to provide technology-related services that support the University's core functions of Administration, Teaching, Learning and Research, together with supporting faculty staff and enhancing the student experience.

Stakeholder and relationship management will be at the core to your ability to succeed in this position. Naturally, you’ll be confident and resilient when consulting with stakeholders, who are at times resistant to change, to understand future business needs. Equally, you will need financial technology experience and knowledge to fully understand business processes and system products within the Financial ecosystem.
Your flexible communication style will enable you to thrive in this large and complex environment as you adapt to your audience and bring them onboard with the value of what is to be delivered. A solutions-focused, proactive attitude that means you’re confident identifying and implementing practical solutions and not afraid to try new things.
Tertiary experience is essential.
