Job description

A warm and dynamic family is seeking a full-time nanny to care for a newborn aged 3 months. The ideal candidate is active, playful, and nurturing, with a strong understanding of infant development and a genuine love for working with children.

Ideal start date: End of September 2025

Schedule: 5 days a week, preferably taking 2 days off during the week. 8 hours per day. Flexibility to stay extra hours when required.

Nanny language required: English is crucial. French or Spanish would be a plus

Main duties:

  • Provide attentive, loving care to the baby
  • Engage the baby in age-appropriate developmental play
  • Maintain consistent routines around sleep, feeding, and activities
  • Prepare nutritious meals and bottles for the baby, supporting healthy eating habits
  • Monitor the baby’s well-being and alert parents to any concerns
  • Support the baby’s growth and milestones with stimulating activities
  • Travel with the family as needed ( 2-3 10-day trips a year and occasional weekends. Travelling is not extensive.)
  • Respect a household where parents work from home

This is a long-term position for a reliable, professional, and warm-hearted nanny who is passionate about supporting a young child’s development in a caring and structured environment.

Requirements

  • Eligibility to work in Switzerland: EU/Swiss passport or Swiss permit.
  • Letters of recommendation or job certificates that we can verify
  • Fluent in English; a second language, such as French or Spanish, is a plus
  • Previous experience as a full-time nanny (not nanny/housekeeper), with proven work caring for newborns.
  • First Aid and CPR certified
  • Patient, observant, and proactive
  • Able to take initiative and work independently
  • Strong understanding of baby nutrition and meal prep
  • Comfortable working in a household where parents are present
  • Valid references from previous nanny positions
