POSITION OVERVIEW

In light of rapid expansion, Inkomoko has recently added a new layer of senior leadership, developed a new talent framework, and now seeks to hire mission-driven leaders who are aligned with Inkomoko culture to join the Senior Leadership Team as we scale. 

To facilitate this growth, Inkomoko is seeking an experienced Executive Recruitment Consultant with a proven track record in sourcing, assessing, and placing C-suite and Vice President-level executives, ideally within East Africa, to help us build this new team. 

The ideal candidate will have deep familiarity with the regional market dynamics, talent landscape, and leadership needs of fast-growing organizations.  

The consultant position is open immediately, and will likely run until the end of 2025. The Consultant will be based in East Africa preferrably, we are open to remote consultants.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/DELIVERABLES

To help Inkomoko fortify our senior leadership team with mission-driven colleagues who embody our culture, we’re seeking an Executive Recruiter who can lead end-to-end recruitment processes for 10 senior executive roles/Vice President positions, ensuring candidates align with Inkomoko talent framework, culture, and strategic goals.   Specific deliverables include:

RECRUITMENT

  • Utilize active sourcing, talent mapping, and networks to identify high-caliber executive talent within East Africa that are a strong with Inkomoko culture and business objectives. (Will have access to LinkedIn Premium and Workable ATS with AI shortlist functionality)
  • Ensure diversity and inclusion standards are integrated into recruitment practices. All positions will be filled by African nationals, in alignment with our JEDI beliefs. 

ASSESSMENT & INTERVIEWS

  • Conduct comprehensive candidate assessments, including screening, organizing interviews, reference checks, and competency evaluations.  
  • Manage communications with candidates to ensure the candidate experience is positive and reflects the Inkomoko brand in the best light  
  • Prepare interview materials, sample questions, and prep the hiring committee for successful engagement with candidates

HIRING STRATEGY 

  • Provide expert advice to Inkomoko on leadership acquisition strategies, advise Inkomoko C-suite on how the portfolio of roles is shaped, helping the company have a diverse, robust, and complimentary group of new leaders. 
  • Negotiate contracts with chosen candidates, aligned with market trends and Inkomoko compensation framework

ADMINISTRATION 

  • Provide regular updates throughout the recruitment process to the hiring managers (C-suite) and Regional People & Culture Director.  
  • Maintain accurate records in the applicant tracking system (Workable) and produce reports on recruitment activity and outcomes

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS/IDEAL CONSULTANT

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in executive recruitment, with success placing C-suite and VP-level roles, ideally within East Africa  
  • Deep understanding of the social enterprise business environment, industry sectors, and leadership talent landscape.  
  • Strong network within an African executive community.  
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.  
  • Familiarity with modern recruitment tools and platforms.
