About the Role

We’re seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Settlement Officer to join our dynamic and growing mortgage team. In this role, you’ll support the smooth and timely settlement of approved home loans through accurate document handling, effective client communication, and efficient coordination with lenders. You’ll work closely with our global team to ensure our clients receive exceptional service and a seamless settlement experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the full settlement lifecycle from post-approval to completion across multiple lender platforms

• Act as the primary point of contact for escalated settlement issues and time-critical resolutions

• Coordinate complex settlements (multiple securities, refinance with simultaneous discharge, etc.)

• Provide coaching and quality review for Level 1 Settlement Officers

• Collaborate with global stakeholders including Credit Analysts, EMSs, and external legal reps

• Recommend process improvements and automation opportunities to improve efficiency

• Report on settlement performance and SLA metrics weekly to management

Requirements

Required Experience:

  • 1–3 years of experience in home loan settlements or financial operations.

Favorable Experience:

  • Deep understanding of Australian mortgage settlement processes and lender workflows
  • Experience using CRMs (e.g. HubSpot), lender portals, and collaboration tools (Slack, Notion, etc.)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field.

Required Skills:

  •  Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven ability to prioritize and handle multiple settlements simultaneously
  • Customer-centric mindset and a willingness to learn.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality work.
