As we continue on our growth path, we are looking for a Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our team. This role will play a crucial role in the sales process and allow our team to expand its reach within the industry.

What will you be doing? 

As a Business Development Representative, your primary responsibility will be to identify, target, and engage with Director, VP, and C-suite executives at potential client companies. You will use your communication and relationship-building skills to set meetings for our sales team and contribute directly to revenue growth. 

  • Lead Generation: Use various channels, including research, social media, cold calling, and email, to generate leads and create a robust pipeline of potential meetings.
  • Engagement: Initiate contact with targeted executives through personalized outreach to introduce our products/services and establish interest.
  • Qualification: Assess the suitability of potential clients by understanding their needs, budget, and decision-making process.
  • Meeting Setting: Secure appointments with Director, VP, and C-suite executives for final sales pitches, ensuring all meetings align with our sales objectives.
  • Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with prospects and key stakeholders through regular follow-ups and strategic communication.
  • Reporting: Maintain accurate records of prospect interactions, lead status, and meeting outcomes in the CRM system.

Requirements

  • You have 1+ year of experience in a Business or Sales Development role with a proven track record of success. 
  • You are a self-starter that is fearless in making calls or sending emails to prospective clients.
  • You have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, co-workers, and management.
  • Logistics/transportation/freight experience is appreciated but not required.
  • Experience in B2B sales or relationship/account management is a plus but not required.
  • Must be proficient with Web software and familiar with Microsoft Office products – including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
