If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Regional Sales Manager for Algeria.

We are looking for a sales professional with a proven track record in the oil & gas or process industry to manage sales and service of Valmet Flow Control products in the country. In this position, you will report to the Regional Sales Manager, North Africa. This position will be based in Algeria.

 
Our Flow Control (FC) Business Line delivers mission-critical solutions to enhance process performance and ensure the safe flow of materials, helping customers achieve operational excellence in process industries.

As a Regional Sales Manager, your main responsibility is to drive profitable and sustainable growth in the country.

  • Manage sales and marketing of Valmet Flow Control products and services, both directly and through distribution channels
  • Develop and execute annual action plans to achieve and exceed sales objectives.
  • Prepare winning quotations to the customers meeting their technical, commercial and delivery requirements.
  • Conduct technical reviews of inquiry documents and address technical queries related to quotations.
  • Maintain oversight of local projects, working with contractors from Front End Engineering Design project to award stages
  • Develop and maintain strong customer connections.
  • Handle commercial contract reviews and lead negotiations.
  • Build and strengthen the distributor network for Valmet Flow Control products.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitors' moves and take necessary actions.
  • Ensure necessary product approvals with all end-users, EPCs, and inclusion on all project vendor lists.
  • Demonstrate high-level HSE mindset and knowledge about HSE procedures and practices, applying this knowledge as a part of daily work routine.
  • Ensure legal compliance of company operation in the region.

In addition to technical and commercial responsibilities, the role requires strong leadership and communication skills to set clear objectives, delegate effectively, and ensure accountability. A commitment to continuous learning, adaptability in dynamic environments, and the ability to build trust-based relationships with customers and partners are essential for success.

To succeed in the role, you will need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (electrical/electronic/control & instrumentation preferred)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in similar role, ideally within valve industry
  • Market and customer experience in oil & gas and refining & petrochemical as well as experience in working with EPC contractors will be an advantage.
  • Strong drive to provide technical solutions and support that ensure customers’ success
  • Ability to build and leverage effective working relationships in a global matrix organization and partner network
  • Fluent communication and reporting skills
  • Desire to continuous improvement and development
  • Ready to travel at least 50% of your time
  • Algeria market knowledge is mandatory
  • Fluency in Arabic, French and English is required
