Job description

We are seeking a highly motivated Mid+ Quality Assurance Engineer to join our game development team for a 6 month contract to help us with increased workload on RISK: Global Domination. Potential for this to extend but we currently have just a set window of extra QA work we'd like more support on.

Start Aug 2025 ideal.

As a QA engineer, you will work closely with our development teams to ensure the highest level of quality is achieved for our games.

Responsibilities:

  • Test games and ensure they meet design specifications.
  • Report bugs and issues to the development team.
  • Work with the development team to reproduce and fix issues.
  • Create and maintain test plans and test cases.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure that quality standards are met.
  • Participate in the development process to provide feedback on potential issues.

Requirements:

  • Experience with game engines such as Unity
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to understand and pick up new tools easily.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Confidence to communicate ideas, solutions and issues clearly.

Preferred qualifications and experience:

  • Job experience in game development, QA testing or JIRA or QASE
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related experience.
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as C#, php or Python.
  • A passion for and good understanding of board games and their mechanics. 
  • Familiarity with test automation tools.
  • Knowledge of Xcode and Android Studio.
  • Understanding of GIT and managing repositories.

This role is remote and WFH but requires you to have no more than 3hrs time zone difference than SYD AEST
