Conexon is a rapidly growing company working with Rural Electric Cooperatives to build advanced fiber to the home (FTTH) networks nationwide. We are currently looking for a Joint-Use Permit Coordinator to join the Conexon Field Services team.


We are seeking a highly skilled Joint-Use Permit Coordinator to join our team. As a Joint-Use Permit Coordinator, you will play a vital role in processing third-party pole attachment applications for off system fiber builds and Conexon Complete projects.

Requirements

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Work with various pole owners to secure third party attachment for placement of fiber on varying pole owners’ infrastructure.

o This will include but not limited to: Filling out “Exhibit A” of the joint use agreement, submittal of attachment requests in a

logical order to aid construction crews in an efficient buildout order and tracking of permitting with mapping personnel for

visual aid in permitting status.

  • Assist with securing pole attachment agreements with various pole owners
  • Utilize the National Joint Use Utilities Notifications System to submit third party attachment applications and help other pole owners track Pole Transfers
  • An understanding of FTTH make-ready engineering and cost analysis for make-ready construction estimates
  • Field verification of all permitting to ensure accuracy.
  • Scheduling with timeline production and tracking
  • Cost control for the client and Conexon
  • Production verification and invoice reconciliation with production
  • Weekly status reporting

Job Qualifications:

1. High school or equivalent education level is required.

2. Travel for work will be required.

3. Attention to detail and accountability for work is required.

4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets and identify optimization opportunities 5. Excellent project management skills, with the ability to lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

6. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

7. Continuous learning mindset with a keen interest in staying updated with the latest advancements in the field.

8. Knowledge of RUS specifications are highly preferred.

9. Computer skills such as Excel, Quickbase for Track, Google Earth Pro to read KMZ maps

10. Ability to upload shapefiles into Katapult
