To strengthen our team in the Sustainable Infrastructure & Advisory Department, we are looking for a Junior Policy Analyst with primary focus in the area of policy planning, regulation, financing and capacity building to start as soon as possible based in Belgrade, Serbia. Depending on the candidate’s experience and qualification, working remotely could be possible. 

As a Junior Policy Analyst, you are responsible both for the acquisition of International Financial Institutions / Donor funded new projects (Western Balkans and worldwide) and for the implementation and the operational backstopping of on-going projects in the field of Sustainable Energy. Besides the regular work, you will have a chance to be Non-Key expert in our on-going projects depending on your qualifications and experiences.

Your tasks:
  • Operational support in the project management including monitoring, operations and administration;
  • Contribute to the technical implementation of consultancy other general support in the Project Management;
  • Contribute to the technical contents of project deliverables (studies, reports) commensurate with the level of technical expertise;
  • Assist in establishing partnerships/consortium arrangements;
  • Support in the elaboration of technical proposal;
  • Identify and investigate new business opportunities in the field of Sustainable Energy, Transport and Waste
A BACKGROUND THAT CONVINCES US
  • University degree in engineering and/or other degrees related to sustainable energy policy;
  • Minimum 1 or 2 years of working experience;
  • Knowledge of the sustainable energy sector ;
  • Experience in procedures and requirements of donor/IFI funded projects, e.g., EU, EBRD, AfDB, EIB etc. desired;
  • Ideally experience in contributing in publication, drafting paper and present the results; 
  • Sound user knowledge of MS Office package, knowledge of an ERP system is an asset;
  • Commercial awareness and good communication skills with a high degree of flexibility; 
  • Full professional proficiency in English. Knowledge of French/Russian is an absolute advantage;
  • The ideal candidate is straightforward, highly motivated and interested in learning more about the technical part of the energy sector.
