Job description

Position: Senior Network M&A Engineer 

Location: Medford, OR.   

Duties: 

  • Design, deploy and administer networking components such as Cisco Meraki networks, Aruba networks, Silverpeak SDWAN, ASA and Palo firewalls across acquired sites and data centers. 

  • Develop integration blueprints for merging networks by designing scalable and fault tolerant network architectures with emphasis on avoiding business disruptions during integration 

  • Lead M&A initiatives from a networking standpoint on development and execution of network integration governance and associated timelines.  

  • Manage relationships with global network vendors and service providers, including ISPs and equipment manufacturers to manage and negotiate SLAs for ensuring timely hardware procurement and deployment. 

  • Develop disaster recovery plans and ensure redundancy for mission-critical infrastructure during mergers. 

  • Maintain detailed documentation on network configurations, integration timelines, and vendor interactions. 

  • Provide weekly status updates to senior leadership and stakeholders, highlighting risks and mitigation strategies. 

  • Mentor and guide junior network engineers on new architectures and best practices for large-scale integration projects. 

  • Provide team supervision and coordination by managing day-to-day team operations as needed alongside ensuring coverage for critical shifts, including on-call rotations if necessary. 

  • Facilitate knowledge sharing sessions with internal teams and vendors to streamline future M&A activities. 

  • 25% travel, including international, required. 

 

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Information Systems Security, Computer Science, Information & Communication Technology, Electronics & Communication Engineering, or closely related field required, (foreign equivalent accepted); and     

Experience: Five years of progressive, post-bachelor’s experience as a Network Engineer or similar position.    

 

Skills/Requirements:  Five years’ experience working with: 

  • Automotive industry IT Network Mergers and Acquisitions.  

  • Third party Network vendor management.  

  • Design, deployment and administration of Silverpeak SDWAN network solutions,  

  • Design, deployment and administration of Aruba switching and wireless network solutions,  

  • Design, deployment and administration of Cisco & Meraki switching and wireless network solutions. 

 

The following certifications are also required: 

  • ACSDP - Aruba Certified SD-WAN Deployment Professional 

  • CMSS - Cisco Meraki Solutions Specialist   

 

Employment will be contingent upon passing background check and drug test.
