Here you’ll find a unique approach to wellness that weaves together the mental, physical, spiritual, emotional, and environmental aspects of well-being.

mindbodygreen believes that the well-being world often overlooks marginalized voices. We are committed to building a workforce and community that reflects better representation in our team and everything we do. mindbodygreen encourages people from all backgrounds, ages, abilities, and experiences to apply for our roles. mindbodygreen is an equal-opportunity employer. We do not discriminate based on race, color, ancestry, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital or family status, disability, gender, gender identity or expression, pregnancy or caregiver status, veteran status, or any other legally protected status.

We’re looking for a Freelance Editorial Operations Manager to streamline and enhance our content production, ensuring efficiency, quality, and collaboration across teams. This role is essential in keeping our editorial operations running smoothly—from managing workflows and performance insights to optimizing content distribution. The ideal candidate is passionate about editorial excellence, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and has a keen eye for both the big picture and the smallest details. Please note: This is an entry-level position.

Role & Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the editorial calendar, coordinating with editors and writers to ensure timely, high-quality content publication.

  • Manage editorial logistics, including contracts, budgets, and contributor relations.

  • Oversee content flow in our daily newsletter, including writing compelling subject lines.

  • Proof and review editorialized newsletters, ensuring accuracy and consistency.

  • Collaborate across teams to streamline workflows, processes, and special projects.

  • Assist with traffic projects, including tracking performance, optimizing content distribution, or working on audience growth initiatives.

  • Ability to lead team meetings focused on performance insights, brainstorming, and continuous improvement.

  • Track key performance metrics, managing weekly and monthly team meetings.

  • Opportunity to write health and wellness content (articles or newsletters) as needed.

  • Experience with social media is a plus.

Requirements:
  • A degree in journalism or related field.

  • 1 to 2 years of editorial or digital media experience ideal.

  • A proactive problem-solver who thrives on managing multiple projects and optimizing processes.

  • Experience with project management tools (Asana, Notion preferred) and a quick learner when it comes to new technologies.

  • Strong personal interest and knowledge in health, nutrition, and well-being.

  • Ability to work efficiently under deadlines and manage a high volume of content.

  • A self-starter who anticipates needs, takes initiative, and works well independently.

  • A drive for excellence and continuous improvement in content quality and operations.

If you have a sharp eye for detail, a passion for seamless workflows, and a love for high-quality content, we want to meet you!
