About the Role
We are seeking a seasoned Technical Lead (Sr. Analyst I -Software Engineer) with deep expertise in PPLUS to join our Insurance Services team. This individual will play a key role in modernizing and supporting mission-critical systems for one of our major insurance clients.

As a PPLUS Technical Lead, you will collaborate across all phases of the software development lifecycle—from requirements gathering and design to implementation, integration, and ongoing support. You will contribute directly to the development and enhancement of scalable solutions that streamline and optimize our client’s life insurance and annuity operations.

The ideal candidate is a proactive team player with strong technical acumen, exceptional problem-solving skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to analyze requirements and deliver scalable technical solutions on the PPLUS platform.
  • Lead the development, maintenance, and enhancement of PPLUS applications using AWS-native tools and Micro Focus technologies.
  • Support initiatives for system integration, data conversion, and digital modernization.
  • Mentor junior team members, conduct code reviews, and encourage knowledge sharing and best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical defects, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
  • Contribute to project planning, effort estimation, and technical documentation.
  • Ensure timely delivery of high-quality, defect-free software solutions.
  • Drive continuous improvement and automation initiatives to increase team efficiency and solution reliability.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with DXC Life Insurance and Annuity platforms, specifically PPLUS.
  • Strong experience with mainframe development tools including COBOL, DB2, SQL, JCL.
  • Well familiarity with AWS tools and technologies and Micro Focus.
  • Proven experience with system migration, integration, and insurance domain transformation projects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in estimation and proposal development to support business growth.
  • Ability to work independently and guide others in resolving complex issues.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact directly with clients and cross-functional teams.
  • Experience supporting production go-lives and willingness to work flexible hours as needed.

Work Environment

  • Remote work within the United States, with the flexibility to work from customer locations if required.
  • Willingness to occasionally align with India time zone and provide support during key deployments, including weekends or extended hours when necessary.

Must have USA valid indefinite work permit

Compensation at DXC is influenced by an array of factors, including but not limited to the experience, job-related knowledge, skills, competencies, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. A reasonable estimate of the current compensation range for this position is $73,100 - $135,700.
