Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented ABAD Systems Engineer to join our team! In this role you will serve as an Engineering lead for operational sustainment of large-scale air surveillance system. **This position is located in Ramstein AFB, Germany (International Assignment) **NO REMOTE WORK**

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Analyze and document system performance, including threat characteristics, engagement timelines, and sensor coverage.

  • Maintain and troubleshoot UNIX/Linux-based systems, signal processing chains, and networked sensor interfaces that support real-time air surveillance operations.

  • Ensure operational readiness of mission-critical systems, including operator workstations, sensor feeds, and secure data pathways across the ABAD Systems.

  • Support integration and sustainment of a system-of-systems environment, involving UNIX servers, data routing, sensor inputs, and operator C2 tools.

  • Interface directly with U.S. Air Force operators, program managers, and international partners to ensure alignment and technical support.

  • Support integration of third-party capabilities into the ABAD Systems, including radar, tracking, and C2 components.

  • Develop and refine software tools and scripts to support system operation, data fusion, and status monitoring.

  • Coordinate field testing, system updates, and integration events with U.S. and European stakeholders.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information management or related discipline plus 5+ years recent specialized experience.

  • 5+ years of hands-on systems engineering experience

  • Ability to interface with various stakeholders and contractors to understand their technology/capabilities and how to employ it across the ABAD Weapons System

  • Ability to develop necessary software code to fuse various systems together to operate within the ABAD Weapon System

  • Experience with a wide spectrum of Air Force C2 systems (preferred)

  • Familiar with and have basic operator skills with Microsoft Office and administrative level skills with Microsoft SharePoint

  • Strong interpersonal skills, be customer oriented, and must operate independently

  • Highly evolved writing and briefing skills

  • Active Top Secret (TS) clearance required

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

  • Experience in working with European DoD is strongly desired

  • Experience within an Air Operations Center (AOC) and missile defense experience is also preferred

Security Clearance Requirement:

An active Top Secret security clearance is required for this position.​

Salary Range: $86,700.00 - $151,700.00
