You're a researcher who goes beyond numbers—someone who transforms data into powerful insights that change how products are designed and how training programs are built. You understand that behind every statistic is a person, and your work helps ensure that immersive VR solutions improve real-world outcomes for those tasked with public safety. Your insights will directly influence strategic decisions, optimize user experiences, and prove the efficacy of immersive training, directly contributing to safer communities.
At Axon, we build connected devices like body cameras powered by an industry-leading digital evidence management platform. Our VR, hardware, software, and training platforms enhance safety, efficiency, and transparency for public safety agencies, enabling us to meaningfully impact the world. Axon's growth continues rapidly, and we seek a dedicated Quantitative User Researcher to join our UX Research team within the VR group.
In this role, you'll drive quantitative research strategies, rigorously measure the performance of immersive training, and identify opportunities for UX improvements. You will collaborate closely with UX designers, product managers, engineers, and external stakeholders, using your statistical expertise, familiarity with hardware-based research, and AI-driven methods to ensure our VR solutions genuinely benefit those on the front lines.
You will join an interdisciplinary team tackling critical public safety training challenges through immersive VR technology, enhancing decision-making, empathy, and de-escalation skills. We aim to revolutionize public safety training guided by our core principles:
Location: Work from home as much as you want, live nearby our awesome Seattle R&D Hubs so you can easily collab in-person when it’s helpful and be an active part of our vibrant Axon culture. Estimated week of travel per quarter to conduct local and national research with customers.

The Pay: Axon is a total compensation company, meaning compensation is made up of base pay, bonus, and stock awards. The starting base pay for this role is between USD 123,750 in the lowest geographic market and USD 198,000 in the highest geographic market. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: level, function, training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, geographic market, and often a combination of all these factors.
