Job description

Who we are

At Kins, we’re reimagining physical therapy and creating flexible care options to meet patients where they are. Whether it’s an in-person appointment in the comfort of their home or through a virtual session, we provide high-quality, personalized care that fits into real life. Our mission is to restore the mobility and confidence of the millions of people suffering from chronic pain, recovering from surgery, or healing from injury by making it easier than ever to find and stick with a physical therapy program.

We are a small but mighty team of compassionate and driven individuals who believe in using a human-centered approach, challenging the status quo, and seeking improvement in everything we do.

About The Job

We’re looking for a Clinical Intake Specialist to join our team. In this hybrid clinical-administrative role, you’ll deliver concierge-level service to potential Kins patients. You'll guide them through the intake process, assess their clinical fit, and help them feel confident in starting care—whether virtually or in person. You’ll also be the go-to clinical contact for patients with questions or concerns that need expert input.

This is a unique opportunity for a licensed Physical Therapist (PT) or Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) who wants to blend patient interaction with operational and clinical decision-making. With empathy, compassion, and a passion for service, you’ll represent Kins in each and every interaction. You’ll be part of a team who prides themselves on solving problems, innovating in a fast paced start-up environment, and working together to deliver an exceptional experience.

What You’ll Do:

Clinical & Consultative Responsibilities

  • Conduct phone consults with prospective patients who are on the fence about starting virtual care
  • Conduct phone consults with prospective patients exploring our pelvic health program
  • Assess clinical appropriateness for Kins’ services (virtual and/or in-person)
  • Support our intake team by answering clinical questions as needed

Administrative & Coordination Responsibilities

  • Guide qualified leads through the intake process to become active Kins patients
  • Determine insurance coverage and clearly communicate benefits and expected costs
  • Use our internal systems to match patients with the right physical therapist
  • Respond to patient questions about care, logistics, and general Kins services

What You Bring:

  • Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) or Physical Therapist (PT)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong clinical judgment and comfort discussing care plans with patients
  • Highly organized, tech-savvy, and able to manage multiple tools and workflows
  • Prior experience in telehealth, patient intake, or customer-facing roles preferred
  • Familiarity with tools like Zendesk or insurance verification platforms is a plus

Schedule & Compensation:

  • Part-time (approx. 25 hours/week)
  • ~5 hours/day, Monday through Friday
  • Must be available during daytime hours (flexible within a 9am–5pm ET window)
  • Fully remote (U.S.-based candidates only)
  • Hourly pay: $25–$35
Why Join Kins?
  • Be part of a mission-driven team transforming access to physical therapy
  • Work in a supportive, collaborative, and innovative environment
  • Make a meaningful clinical impact in a flexible, remote-first role
  • Grow with a fast-scaling healthcare startup shaping the future of MSK care
