Overview

We're looking for a Director, Commercial Sales to lead our team of Commercial Account Executives. If you're a dynamic sales leader passionate about building and mentoring a winning team, you'll be a perfect fit! This role focuses on selling cutting-edge managed detection and response solutions, including SOC as a service, to fast-growing customers.

Reporting to our VP, Commercial Sales, you're key in building customer trust and driving product team collaboration. You'll mentor and guide your team on everything from territory growth to deal strategy and sales coaching, ensuring they always "do the right thing" and "do things right."

This is a fast-paced, high-growth opportunity for a self-directed, quantitative leader. You'll own and execute plans to consistently hit sales targets. We need someone who leads by example, with high self-awareness and a mindset of continuous improvement. Experience managing a remote team is important, as you'll be working 100% remote.   • Attract, enable, and mentor a passionate team while equipping them with the tech they need to eliminate drudge work from their queues
  • Manage the end-to-end sales process including prospecting, qualifying and closing new opportunities with businesses up to 3,000 employees
  • Work closely cross-functionally so prospects experience a flawless handoff process if the relationship is transitioned to the outside sales rep
  • Craft weekly, monthly and quarterly reports using Salesforce.com, so we know how we're doing (and how we can do better)

What you should bring with you
  • A drive for continuing a customer-focused sales culture full of positive energy, integrity, creativity and transparency
  • The ability to collaborate and build relationships with people at different levels and from diverse backgrounds including senior execs, sales managers, CISOs and IT security managers
  • Knowledge and experience selling into cloud buyers, including the understanding of what messaging works and what we should avoid
  • Experience developing metrics, reports and executive dashboards
  • Experience with CRM software such as Salesforce.com and tools to increase lead prospecting and nurturing efficiency
  • 7+ years sales experience including leading innovative inside sales teams in business-to-business sales environments

Additional notes

The base salary range for this role is between $180,000 USD and $190,000 USD + variable compensation and equity.

We believe in paying transparently and equitably. Your salary will ultimately be based on factors such as your experience, skills, team equity, and market data. You’ll also be eligible for unlimited PTO (which we model and encourage), work location flexibility, up to 24 weeks of parental leave, and really excellent health benefits.

We’re hiring remotely and looking for someone in the pacific time zone. We do have a headquarters in Herndon, VA and will expect you to visit with some frequency!
