Location: Remote, plus travel to site projects nationwide. Reports To: Sr. Director, QA/QC Travel: 25%-50% The QA/QC Construction Manager will report to the Senior Director of QA/QC and will manage the implementation of Prime Data Centers QA/QC programs across our growing portfolio of US data center projects. This pivotal role involves interfacing with Primes Construction and Operations Groups on new construction and expanding facilities projects to implement our QA/QC process. This will include but is not limited to, management of third-party consultants, high level issue resolution, coordination between Construction and Operations, and overall auditing of the QA/QC process across all aforementioned parties. This is an expanding roll, and the QA/QC Construction Manager will be expected to run a team of regional/remote QA/QC construction techs as our projects continue to grow in number and size. Key Responsibilities:
Quality Assurance Oversight:
Monitor and enforce adherence to quality standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
Conduct regular audits and site inspections to ensure installations and systems meet safety and performance standards and identify areas for improvement.
Audit Construction partners and Third-Party consultants to ensure adherence to Prime Data Centers Quality Assurance standard.
Collaboration and Leadership:
Lead a team of regional/remote QA/QC technicians.
Collaborate with project teams, facility operations, contractors, third party consultants, and stakeholders to promote a culture of quality excellence.
Communicate QA/QC expectations and requirements clearly to all involved parties.
Inspire and guide cross-functional teams with effective leadership, fostering a collaborative and results-driven environment.
Demonstrate the ability to make informed decisions, motivate teams, and provide clear direction in achieving quality objectives.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain detailed documentation of QA/QC processes, procedures, and outcomes.
Prepare regular reports on quality performance metrics and present findings to relevant stakeholders.
Help Develop methods of procedure (MOPs) for the construction and operations process.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains within the QA/QC framework.
Implement corrective and preventive actions based on lessons learned from project experiences.
Qualifications:
4 year degree in a technical or engineering field or equivalent training/experience.
5+ years of experience in critical facilities (Operations, QA/QC or Commissioning)
2+ years of experience in a construction environment preferred.
Experience in the data center or mission critical facilities preferred
In-depth knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
Familiarity with industry standards and regulations.
Strong organizational and project management skills.
Effective communication and leadership abilities.
