Based on many years of expertise in robotics, operational optimization and control systems, the Automation Technology division is opening up new fields of application for industry.

To this end, the latest findings from the fields of artificial intelligence, machine learning and cloud-based methods are combined with proven expert knowledge to answer current questions in robot-supported production.

 

What you will do

 

  • You will be involved in current research projects and work directly with industrial companies
  • You will research approaches for optimizing machines and systems, compile data sets for data analytics, generate visualizations of time series and systems under consideration
  • You will organize and moderate working meetings with internal and external partners
  • You will set up test benches and carry out experiments
  • You will prepare research results and contribute to publications

 

What you bring to the table

 

  • Ongoing studies in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, physical engineering, computer science, business informatics, computational engineering science or a related field
  • Basic knowledge of programming (e.g. Python, C++, ROS, Matlab/Simulink)
  • Prior knowledge in at least one of the following areas:
    • Signal Processing and Robotics or
    • Electrical Engineering and Mechatronics or
    • Control Engineering and Optimization Methods

 

  • Good analytical skills and interest in solving complex problems
  • Good communication skills to present ideas clearly and effectively
  • Proactive and independent way of working with a high motivation to learn and implement new things
  • German language skills at native speaker level and good written and spoken English skills

Remuneration is based on the general works agreement on the employment of auxiliary staff.

The position is initially limited to one year.

The monthly working hours are negotiable between 40 or 80 hours.
