Job description

Location: Hybrid (Quebec greater Montreal and/or Eastern Townships preferred)

Here's what we do and why we do it:

We’re on a mission to simplify business IT with cutting-edge cloud solutions—so our customers can focus on what truly matters. Learn more about how we innovate at sherweb.com/about.

Here's how you will contribute to the success of the company:

As a key contributor to our FP&A team, you will serve as the financial modeling authority driving decision-making across the business. With a CPA designation, advanced technical fluency (especially Power BI), and a strategic mindset, you’ll support executive leadership in unlocking insights through world-class data modeling and scenario planning.

You’ll be a critical partner in preparing the company for the potential implementation of a Corporate Performance Management (CPM) tool and will actively collaborate with Finance, BI, and product teams to enable scalable financial planning in a dynamic SaaS/Tech environment.

Here's what your day-to-day will look like in this role:

• Design and own complex financial models across multiple revenue streams, including Monthly Recurring Revenue (MRR), new product launches, and multi-service packages.

• Develop, maintain, and scale Power BI dashboards and DAX-based data models to support dynamic forecasting, scenario analysis, and decision-making.

• Lead financial modeling efforts related to long-range planning, pricing strategies, and business cases for investments or product development.

• Partner with cross-functional teams (BI, Product, Revenue Ops) to optimize and align source data for planning purposes.

• Assist in the automation of key reports and financial processes using RPA, Power Query, or other advanced tools.

• Train and mentor team members on financial modeling best practices and Power BI.

• Support monthly closes, revenue analysis, and variance explanations, as needed.

• Champion the potential implementation of a CPM platform, contributing technical and strategic recommendations based on current pain points and scaling needs.

Here's what you need to master to get the job:

• CPA designation required (a CFA may be a valuable addition but is not sufficient on its own for our needs).

• 5+ years of experience in advanced financial modeling, with extensive use of Power BI (DAX, Power Query) in a corporate setting.

• Demonstrated expertise building driver-based models and dashboards for executive use.

• Strong business acumen, with a proven ability to translate complex financial data into actionable business insights.

• Prior experience in the technology sector, ideally with SaaS and MRR business models.

• Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, and financial scenario analysis skills.

• Experience supporting or evaluating FP&A systems (e.g., Adaptive, Planful, Anaplan) or CPM tools is a major asset.

• A proactive mindset, natural leadership, and excellent communication skills.

• Ability to work cross-functionally and influence decision-makers with data and storytelling.

Why Join Us?

• Help shape the future of finance at a growing global tech company.

• Work with high-impact tools and technologies.

• Join a mission-driven team, combining innovation, collaboration, and purpose.

• Make your mark as we modernize our FP&A and enterprise performance infrastructure.
