Job description

Job Description:

This is a remote opportunity, open to anyone in the US.

As a Retail Media Biller, you will play a critical role in supporting the financial operations of media campaigns across several key retail clients. This position will be 50% dedicated to a high-volume client, supporting day-to-day billing, reconciliation, and documentation. The remaining 50% will be focused on supporting multiple smaller accounts with similar financial operations tasks. You will work closely with media, finance, and client teams to ensure accurate, timely, and efficient billing and reconciliation processes. You will not have any managerial responsibilities.

This role sits within Merkle's New Stream Media capability, supporting eRetail, Retail Media Network, and Shopper Marketing initiatives, and reports to the Senior Director.

Responsibilities:

Primary Client Support (50%)
  • Manage month-end billing and financial reconciliation for high-volume media campaigns
  • Oversee insertion order (IO) delivery, documentation, and internal tracking
  • Partner with external vendors to follow up on invoice documentation, cost confirmations, and discrepancies
  • Lead end-of-campaign materialization process to align booked vs. actual spend
  • Ensure campaign costs are accurately recorded and align with financial forecasts
  • Partner with finance and account management teams to resolve billing issues and meet deadlines
  • Manage Salesforce reports to validate that product cost inputs align with planned media investment and campaign allocations
  • Partner with new vendors for setup in Salesforce CRM — requesting and receiving W-9s, Insertion Orders with Terms, and Onboarding Checklists

Multi-Client Support (50%)
  • Support billing and reconciliation tasks for multiple retail media clients
  • Maintain billing trackers and financial documents
  • Help track IOs, coordinating documentation, and confirming campaign costs
  • Be the point of contact for internal stakeholders on billing-related questions
  • Contribute to ongoing process improvements and help standardize documentation

Qualifications
  • 2–4 years of experience in finance operations, billing, or media operations
  • Familiarity with Salesforce required; ability to update records, pull reports, and navigate the platform daily
  • Experience in retail media or digital advertising
  • Familiarity with ad platforms (e.g., Criteo, The Trade Desk, Kevel)
  • Excel skills required, including comfort with formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUPs/XLOOKUPs, and basic data analysis for reconciliation and reporting tasks
  • Experience working with external vendors and media partners
  • Experience with documentation and process improvement
Bonus Experience
  • Previous work in retail, CPG, or shopper marketing environments
  • Knowledge of digital marketing campaign tracking and reconciliation
  • Experience with campaign materialization and IO management

The annual salary range for this position is $51,000 -$83,375. Placement within the salary range is based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors permitted by law.
