Role Definition
We are looking for an enthusiast and dynamic Automotive Field Applications Engineer (FAE) to support our Strategic & Key Accounts in EMEA. As a Field Applications Engineer, you are the bridge between product development groups and top automotive customers in EMEA. Your primary goal is winning new business though proactive in-depth design and development support that will solve customer challenges.
In this role you will be responsible for impacting the customer solution with technology proposals from the early architecture phase via design and evaluation to mass production phase with special focus on power. Together with the customer’s engineering teams you will work on cutting edge automotive applications like e.g. solutions for autonomous driving or electrification.
The Automotive FAE must be able to identify customer platform requirements (hardware and software) and work closely internally with Analog Devices Business Units. You will impact ADI’s automotive device roadmap and contribute to new product definitions together with ADI’s System Engineering. You will take ownership for driving the resolution of all technical issues to ensure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the design in sales process.
The Automotive FAE must be able to build trust, establish and maintain strong relationships with Tier- 1 and OEM customers as well as ADI internal automotive Business Units. You would need to invest in your product and system level knowledge on an ongoing basis through the various training and development opportunities.
In addition, the ideal candidate brings deep expertise in automotive power designs and a comprehensive understanding of modern vehicle E/E architectures, zonal concepts, and domain controller systems. You should be comfortable advising customers not only on power delivery but also how it interacts with the overall vehicle system — from energy storage and distribution to thermal and safety constraints.
