Position Overview

Our client is seeking for a Junior Property Accountant (JPA) to join in their Accounting department. The Junior Property Accountant will manage daily accounting tasks and be accountable for the financial accuracy of specific properties. The JPA will also ensure their portfolio of properties is audit-and report-ready by keeping accounts current, reconciled, and transparent. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in accounting principles and have a high attention to detail. In success, the JPA will develop a deep understanding of his or her properties and apply that expertise to prompt and accurate reporting and forecasting.

Work from Home
Monday to Friday - 8:00 PM to 5:00 PM Manila time

Responsibilities:

Accounting Transactions
- Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded
- Weekly bank reconciliations and cash reporting
- Update financial data in databases to ensure that information will be accurate and immediately available when needed

Monthly / Year End Closings
- Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual closings
- Annual CAM-Tax-Insurance escalations and preparation of tenant packages
- Provide vendor backup for monthly sales usage.

Financial Reporting
- Process balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines
- Complete quarterly property snapshots and financial statements
- Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports not limited to aging reports

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a junior accountant
Excellent organizing abilities, with great attention to detail
Good with numbers and figures and an analytical acumen
Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
Excellent knowledge of MS Office. Familiarity with Yardi a plus
BSc/Ba in accounting, finance or relevant field
