TITLE: Director, FP&A
DEPARTMENT: Finance- FP&A
REPORTING TO: SVP, Strategic Planning & Analysis
OFFICE LOCATION: New York, NY
ROLE TYPE: Hybrid, Full-time

 

Role Overview:

The FP&A Director will act as a strategic leader and key member of the Financial Planning & Analysis team, supporting the Head of FP&A, IPC senior management, and external stakeholders including the Board of Directors and Private Equity investors. This individual will play a pivotal role in enhancing financial transparency, optimizing business performance, and driving value creation.

The successful candidate will bring extensive experience working in SaaS or recurring revenue business models. They will be adept at developing financial frameworks that inform decision-making, support strategic initiatives, and align with management and private equity performance expectations.

  • Lead long-range planning and annual budgeting aligned with strategic goals. Develop detailed financial forecasts with a focus on SaaS metrics (ARR/MRR, churn, retention).
  • Oversee recurring financial reporting and analysis for senior leadership, board, and investors. Translate complex data into clear insights to drive strategic decisions.
  • Prepare presentations and analysis for board meetings, investor updates, and M&A activities. Support due diligence and financial integration efforts.
  • Partner with Sales, Product, Operations, and HR to drive growth, efficiency, and profitability. Act as a financial advisor to leadership and liaison to private equity sponsors.
  • Collaborate with Accounting, Treasury, and Tax teams to ensure accurate financials, optimized cash flow forecasting, and proper accounting treatment.
  • Enhance FP&A systems and reporting tools. Lead initiatives to automate processes and support agile, data-driven decision-making.
  • Build and mentor a high-performing FP&A team. Promote a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement.

 

How You Will Make an Impact: 

As IPC transitions into a SaaS-focused fintech company, the Director of FP&A will play a critical role in shaping financial strategy, performance insights, and business decision-making. This leader will drive value creation by building robust SaaS financial models, enhancing reporting and forecasting processes, and partnering cross-functionally to improve operational efficiency.

They will also help elevate the FP&A team’s capabilities in strategic thinking, automation, value-based communication, and leadership development. By fostering a culture of curiosity, influence, and continuous improvement, the Director will be instrumental in transforming FP&A into a proactive, insight-driven business partner aligned with executive and investor expectations.

 

Essential Skills and Experience to be Successful in this Role:

  • 10+ years of progressive FP&A experience in dynamic, high-growth environments.
  • At least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Experience in a SaaS or recurring revenue business is required.
  • BA or BS in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
  • Advanced financial modelling skills across P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow forecasting.
  • Strong understanding of SaaS metrics, revenue recognition, and subscription economics.
  • Proven ability to track and manage financial and operational KPIs.
  • Excellent communication skills with a proven track record of partnering with executive leadership, boards, and investors.
  • Experience delivering board-level financial insights and supporting operational KPIs.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
  • Strong focus on quality, attention to detail, and strategic business impact.
  • Experience in a private equity–backed environment.
  • Experience with FP&A and BI tools such as Adaptive Insights, Anaplan, NetSuite, Tableau, or Power BI.

 

Desired Qualifications:

  • MBA or advanced degree.
  • CPA, CFA, or other relevant certifications.
