Job description

Your mission
As a Geospatial Data Specialist, you’ll be responsible for preparing, managing, and processing our aerial data collection missions. You’ll work hands-on with advanced GIS tools and convert raw drone imagery into high-quality, standardized geospatial products. In this role, you will also contribute to building scalable geodata infrastructure, automation pipelines, and standard operating procedures. In Detail:
  • Prepare new aerial data acquisition jobs, including flight planning in QGIS
  • Task and coordinate drone-based data collection missions
  • Conduct quality control of delivered imagery (metadata, image sharpness, completeness)
  • Process aerial images into customer-ready products (e.g. orthomosaics, point clouds)
  • Create and maintain spatial databases to manage imagery and flight path data
  • Automate workflows from raw aerial imagery to georeferenced image products
Your profile
Must haves: 
  • Solid experience with GIS software (e.g. QGIS, ArcGIS) and common spatial formats (GeoTIFF, KML, GeoJSON)
  • Proven skills in processing aerial imagery and creating photogrammetric products (orthomosaics, point clouds, DSMs, etc.)
  • Basic knowledge of Python and experience with standard geospatial libraries (geopandas, shapely, rasterio, gdal, etc.)
  • Ability to build up an entire department including software infrastructure, processing standards, and workflows
Nice to Have:
  • Basic SQL and PostGIS knowledge for working with spatial databases
  • Experience with cloud computing environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Familiarity with web mapping libraries such as Leaflet, OpenLayers, or Cesium
