Security Engineer (Associate)

Purpose Intro

DB Global Technology is Deutsche Bank’s technology centre in Central and Eastern Europe. Role Intro

The Accounting Tribe (AccTD) is looking for a Security Engineer to provide oversight and impact over a domain operating ~70 IT Applications. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing work across multiple areas of the bank's overall IT Platform/Infrastructure including analysis, development, testing and administration.

The Security Engineer will be at the forefront of protecting the AccTD by managing coordinated responses to and the implementation of global cyber security campaigns. This is a global role, which is part of a broader team and comprises of working with engineering teams located across 6 different countries. Our approach towards security follows a “shift-left” strategy, implementing industry leading standards on threat modeling, engineering champions and (cloud-) security architecture.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver security engineering, compliance, monitoring and assurance activities to the RFT Accounting Domain for a portfolio of applications.

  • Support the delivery of security engineering initiatives, ensuring tasks are managed. E.g. Work with SMEs to establish a security engineers champions programme.

  • Ensure security is adopted in all domain activities and that controls/KPIS are reporting in line with agreed targets.

  • Drive the security culture of the RFT Accounting domain by being an ambassador for engineers, security culture and behavioral change.

Skills

  • Knowledge and experience in the field of information security & engineering, with wide ranging awareness in areas such as engineering delivery, data security, identity and access, network security, architecture, control testing, vulnerability management, threat assessments, audit and governance etc. At least 3 years of professional working experience in a security role related to engineering or architecture.

  • Degree in a suitable field e.g. computer science, computer engineering, or cybersecurity required.

  • Good communication & people skills, happy to communicate on all management levels, from Associate to MD. Creating awareness, traction, and engagement on sensitive topics in a global agile environment/matrix organization with virtual teams.

  • Management skills: planning and execution, stakeholder management, project.

  • Participation in industry forums to drive adoption of innovative technologies, tools and solutions in the Bank.
