SAFe Agile Coach

Job Summary:

We are seeking a SAFe Agile Coach to guide Agile delivery across a Navy IT rationalization program aligned to PEO Digital’s SAFe Express Train. The Agile Coach will enable high-performing teams by embedding Lean-Agile principles, facilitating Program Increments, supporting stakeholder coordination, and aligning delivery to mission priorities. This role bridges delivery teams, technical analysts, and Navy governance structures to ensure transparency, traceability, and timely value delivery.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as Agile Coach across one or more Agile Release Trains (ARTs) supporting rationalization, divestment, and IT lifecycle modernization.
  • Facilitate SAFe ceremonies, including PI Planning, Iteration Reviews, System Demos, and Inspect & Adapt events.
  • Guide product owners, analysts, and delivery leads on backlog structuring, WAM-aligned prioritization, and flow efficiency.
  • Help teams apply Agile methods to data analytics, dashboard delivery, and automated scoring logic (e.g., Jupiter, Power BI, Databricks).
  • Monitor progress, identify delivery risks, and surface impediments requiring escalation.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, iterative refinement, and mission alignment.
  • Support development of stakeholder-facing documentation, decision governance frameworks, and sprint-level reporting artifacts.

Qualifications Required:

  • Active DoD Secret clearance.
  • BS/BA degree in a technical field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Agile delivery roles (e.g., Scrum Master, Release Train Engineer, or Agile Coach).
  • Certified SAFe Program Consultant (SPC), SAFe Scrum Master (SSM), or equivalent.
  • Proven success coaching Agile teams within a structured SAFe or DoD Agile framework.
  • Familiarity with PEO Digital SAFe Express Train or similar government Agile constructs.
  • Strong facilitation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to translate technical data workstreams (e.g., WAM scoring, eMASS lineage, CLIN33 budgeting) into sprint-ready backlog items.

Preferred Qualifications: (Nice to Have):

  • Experience supporting Navy programs or DoD enterprise IT delivery.
  • Familiarity with Power BI, Databricks, or Jupiter dashboard environments.
  • Knowledge of IT portfolio rationalization, budget alignment, or cybersecurity compliance (e.g., ATO/RMF).

Work Location: Remote

Compensation: $106,500 - $159,800. The salary range posted is based on the national average.  The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s location, knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or experience, contract affordability, and in consideration of internal parity.
