Role Description
Harmonic is seeking an experienced commercial attorney with a strong technology transactions background.This is a fully remote role based in North America (East Coast time zone preferred) and reports to the General Counsel.This is an opportunity to join a small and collegial legal team within an innovative, dynamic and global company.

Remote – this position is 100% Remote anywhere in US/Canada (East Coast preferred)
What you will be doing
Supporting our global Video and Broadband business units
Reviewing, drafting and negotiating contracts, such as hardware sales, software licensing, SaaS, support and reseller agreements, and inbound licensing and supplier agreements;
Serving as a trusted, thoughtful and pragmatic business partner to teams and functions across the Company;
Developing new, and improving existing, agreements and legal processes & practices;
Providing legal, compliance and policy training to employees;
What you will need to succeed
At least 5 years of relevant in-house and/or law firm experience; start-up experience a major plus;
Experience structuring, drafting and negotiating a variety of commercial, licensing and SaaS agreements for technology companies;
Experience with issues related to hardware products, software, IP and technology licensing, and SaaS businesses;
Excellent business judgment, strategic thinking, creativity and adaptability;
Enjoys managing and driving deals to closure;
Excellent interpersonal skills, collaborative, and highly motivated
Exceptional written and oral communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex issues and concepts;
Attention to detail, high quality work product and the ability to efficiently manage multiple matters is a must.
Pay & Benefits
For this role, the estimated base salary range is between $150,000 - $200,000. The actual base salary will vary based on various factors, including market, location, and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process.
