As a Regional Medical Officer (RMO), you’ll lead a team of physicians and advanced practice providers (APPs), driving clinical excellence, quality, and safety across multiple offices. Description

Leadership & Team Development 

  • Serve as the clinical leader for your region, mentoring and supervising physicians and APPs. 

  • Build an engaged, high-performing provider team through on-site presence, coaching, and personalized feedback. 

  • Foster a culture of collaboration, quality, and continuous learning. 

Provider Recruitment & Onboarding 

  • Play a central role in recruiting, training, and retaining exceptional clinical talent. 

  • Lead clinical onboarding for new hires, ensuring they’re set up for success. 

Clinical Oversight & Quality Improvement 

  • Oversee clinical performance, safety metrics, and quality initiatives for your offices. 

  • Collaborate with operational leaders to achieve performance targets and deliver outstanding patient experiences. 

Education & Mentorship 

  • Deliver hands-on training, simulations, and quarterly skill-building sessions. 

  • Guide your team through clinical challenges and address patient experience concerns effectively. 

Strategic Impact 

  • Partner with regional leaders to align clinical care with operational goals. 

  • Represent your region in strategic initiatives and partnerships. 

Clinical Responsibilities 

  • Maintain a clinical presence, with weekly patient care hours adjusted based on leadership responsibilities.

Qualifications: 

  • Board-certified/eligible in Pediatrics or IM-Peds. 

  • Licensed in the state where the site(s) is located. 

  • Ability to obtain and maintain DEA certification 

  • Meet threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges. 

  • Minimum 5 years of clinical experience in pediatric urgent care or emergency medicine. 

  • Proven leadership in quality improvement, clinical operations, and team management. 

  • Strong communication and organizational skills. 

Additional Qualifications: 

  • Experience in managing provider teams or implementing clinical quality programs. 

  • Ability to lead and manage broad-based change and development. 

This is a non-remote role, requiring a regular onsite presence at the offices you oversee. Upon screening, a more detailed job description will be provided.

Compensation Range: $230K-280K

Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited ACGME/AOA in Pediatric or IM-Peds residency training program.
  • BC/BE with the ABP or ABEM/AOBEM.
  • Licensed in the state where the site(s) is located.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain DEA certification.
  • Meet threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges.
  • Quality/Process Improvement experience Required.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Good computer and electronic record skills.
  • Excellent managerial and organizational skills.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in clinical pediatric urgent care/ER practice that demonstrates success in quality, clinical variation, practice management, and patient experience.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in leadership roles within a pediatric, urgent care, or emergency department.

  • Collaborative work style.
  • Ability to serve as a diplomat/ mentor with strong leadership presence.
  • Strong communication skills, including written and verbal.
  • Ability to lead and manage broad-based change and development.
  • Strong interpersonal and team/group dynamic skills. Ability to balance the needs and perspectives of multiple constituencies and assist groups in decision making.

Compensation:

$170,000 - $280,000

The salary/rate range listed here has been provided to comply with local regulations and represents a potential base salary/rate for this role. Please note that actual salaries/rates may vary within this range above or below, depending on experience and location. We look at compensation for each individual and based on experience and qualifications.
