PURPOSE OF POSITION:

The Network Engineer is responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining secure and scalable network infrastructure across multiple sites and cloud environments. This role requires expertise in Fortinet technologies, Azure networking, ExpressRoute, SD-WAN, and wireless networking. The Network Engineer will also collaborate closely with the security team to ensure all network upgrades and deployments follow a security-by-design approach.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Design, implement, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure including LAN, WAN, and wireless networks.
Deploy and manage Fortinet firewalls and security appliances.
Configure and support Azure networking components including VNets, ExpressRoute, and network security groups.
Implement and manage SD-WAN solutions for optimized connectivity across sites.
Lead new site network deployments including planning, configuration, and testing.
Collaborate with the security team to ensure network changes align with security best practices.
Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
Document network configurations, procedures, and standards.
Stay current with emerging networking technologies and recommend improvements.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
5+ years of experience in network engineering roles.
Hands-on experience with Fortinet firewalls and security appliances.
Strong understanding of Azure networking and ExpressRoute.
Experience with SD-WAN technologies and wireless networking.
Proven ability to lead network design and deployment projects.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

JOB LOCATION:

The position is remote, with occasional travel to IEM facilities as needed.
