Job description

About the Role:

As a Loan Operations Funding and Booking Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accurate and complete delivery of consumer and small business loan information. You’ll work with various internal systems and teams to review, fund, and book loans in compliance with regulatory and bank standards. This role requires a detail-oriented, self-motivated professional with strong communication and organizational skills.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Review and process consumer and small business loan documents for accuracy and compliance.
  • Fund and book loans using internal systems such as MeridianLink, LaserPro, CSI, and Navigator.
  • Ensure timely and accurate GL account entries and reconciliations.
  • Collaborate with lenders, underwriters, and closing specialists to ensure a seamless loan process.
  • Maintain detailed records and documentation in accordance with bank policies.
  • Participate in compliance training and stay current on regulatory changes.
  • Provide exceptional service to internal and external clients.
  • Support productivity goals by meeting service level agreements (SLAs) and quality standards.
  • Represent Loan Operations in cross-functional meetings and initiatives.

 

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience:

  • 2–3 years in a financial institution with a focus on loan documentation, funding, or booking.
  • 3+ years of experience with consumer and small business loan documentation.
  • Experience in an automated loan origination environment is highly desirable.

• Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • College degree preferred.

• Required Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of consumer and small business lending processes.
  • Proficiency in MeridianLink, NewGen, 360 View, LaserPro, CSI, Navigator, and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and multitasking skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Understanding of GL accounts, loan funding, and booking procedures.
  • Familiarity with compliance regulations including Reg H, HMDA, CRA, Reg O, and CIP.

• Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of Blackline/Recon for GL balancing.
  • Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working with acquired bank systems and documentation.
  • Ability to provide guidance and support to business partners and external stakeholders.
