The Technical Sales Executive is responsible for driving sales of technical products and services. This role involves identifying customer needs, providing technical solutions, and building strong relationships with clients. The ideal candidate will have a blend of technical expertise and sales acumen to effectively communicate product benefits and secure sales.
Sales and Business Development:
Develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets.
Identify and qualify new business opportunities through research, networking, and prospecting.
Build and maintain relationships with existing clients to secure repeat business.
Technical Expertise:
Understand the technical aspects of the products and services offered.
Provide technical presentations and product demonstrations to clients.
Collaborate with the engineering team to address customer requirements and provide customized solutions.
Client Relationship Management:
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries and resolving issues.
Conduct regular follow-ups with clients to ensure satisfaction and identify additional needs.
Collect and communicate customer feedback to inform product development and improvement.
Market Analysis and Strategy:
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments.
Identify potential market opportunities and recommend strategic adjustments.
Prepare and deliver regular sales reports and forecasts to management.
Proposal and Contract Management:
Develop and deliver sales proposals, quotations, and contracts.
Negotiate terms and conditions to close sales agreements.
Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
Collaboration and Teamwork:
Work closely with marketing, engineering, and customer support teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of sales and marketing strategies.
Share best practices and industry insights with colleagues.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in technical sales, preferably in FMCG.
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Skills:
Strong technical knowledge relevant to the products/services offered.
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Attributes:
Self-motivated and results-driven.
