Job description

We are looking for a motivated Junior PHP Developer with experience in Laravel to join our growing team in Nottingham. In this role, you will assist in the development and maintenance of web applications, work on exciting projects, and collaborate with experienced developers to enhance your skills. Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development of web applications using PHP and the Laravel framework.
  • Collaborate with senior developers to design, develop, and maintain applications and features.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to team discussions to improve processes.
  • Troubleshoot and debug applications to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies related to PHP and web development.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Basic understanding of PHP and experience with the Laravel framework.
  • Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Knowledge of relational databases (e.g., MySQL) and basic SQL querying.
  • Understanding of version control systems, preferably Git.
  • Strong willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team.
