Job Summary

The Managing Director is a highly accomplished subject-matter authority in economic and financial litigation consulting. This individual brings extensive expertise in developing expert reports and providing opinions in court on damages calculations across multiple case types, with a particular focus in Intellectual Property Damages and False Advertising Damages. A recognized leader in the field, the Managing Director maintains a strong network of industry relationships, consistently generates business, and provides high-level thought leadership.

This position requires experience in successful expert report development, testifying, and leading economic and financial analyses in litigation matters. The ideal candidate excels in analytical leadership, client engagement, and practice development while mentoring teams and advancing the firm’s reputation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Serve as a testifying expert in high-stakes litigation across multiple practice areas
• Define and direct complex data, economic, financial, and statistical analyses to support expert opinions
• Lead the development of persuasive, well-supported expert reports and rebuttals
• Provide strategic oversight and quality control for all analyses conducted by supporting teams
• Cultivate and expand relationships with law firms, corporations, and regulatory agencies
• Generate significant revenue annually through subject-matter expertise, reputation, and business generation
• Identify emerging litigation trends and develop thought leadership through publications, presentations, and industry engagement
• Collaborate with leadership to develop and execute practice area growth strategies
• Represent the firm at high-profile industry events, legal conferences, and public forums
• Mentor and guide junior experts and consulting teams, fostering intellectual and analytical excellence
• Lead recruitment efforts to attract and develop top-tier economic and financial talent
• Work closely with leadership on strategic initiatives, market expansion, and service innovation

Skills and Experience

• Demonstrated expertise in multiple following areas: Property Damages, Trademark Damages, False Advertising Damages. Additional areas are a plus
• Testimony experience required
• Proven ability to generate business through established industry relationships and subject-matter recognition
• Experience developing and delivering expert reports, including a minimum of 20 testifying appearances, 10-20 may be considered for a Senior Vice President position
• Strong leadership in analytical methodologies, research design, and litigation strategy
• Prior experience in an economics consulting firm preferred
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to present complex analyses clearly and persuasively

Education and Technical Requirements 

• Ph.D. in Economics, Statistics, Finance, or Masters professional with CPA or similar certifications preferred
• 10+ years of experience in economics consulting

Location

• This position is 100% remote and supports east to west coast time zones
