Job description

Occupational Therapist – School-Based | Brisbane South / Logan / Ipswich


Type: Full-time or part-time 
Location: Southern Brisbane, Logan, Ipswich 
Relocation: Support available (interstate & international)

Join Connect2Care in a unique role focused on supporting students and educators across preschool, primary, and secondary schools. You’ll also have the opportunity to work with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities through culturally inclusive, education-focused therapy.


About the Role

This is a school-based OT role, supporting students in preschool, primary and secondary settings across Logan and Ipswich. You’ll collaborate with educators, families and community organisations – including programs supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.

You’ll work in schools, with flexibility to work from home or our hubs when not on site.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver 1:1 evidence-based interventions in school environments

  • Collaborate with teachers and support staff on classroom-based strategies

  • Conduct assessments and write reports to support learning and funding outcomes

  • Provide professional development and upskilling for school staff

  • Support assistive tech recommendations and classroom modifications

  • Attend meetings, supervision, and internal PD sessions

  • Build strong relationships with educators, families, and community leaders

  • Maintain accurate documentation and meet professional expectations



Requirements
You’ll need:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy

  • AHPRA registration

  • Experience or interest in working with Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander communities

  • WWCC (Blue Card), NDIS Worker Screening, Police Checks

  • Driver’s license + reliable vehicle

  • PI & PL Insurance
