Define strategy and manage execution for all aspects of product design, user experience and business analysis to deliver products, services and business results that support the company and line of business goals & strategies.
Own and drive the product design function and team, collaborating with product management, engineering, and other cross-functional stakeholders. Understand the aesthetic and technical direction of the product to guide the best product realization
Provide leadership to a team of UX Designers and Business Analysts, including defining processes and methodologies for both areas
Provide hands-on product design direction and leadership for major strategic initiatives or highly complex product capabilities. Ensure product designs strongly reflect design best practices, customer and internal stakeholder input and needs, that they have broad visibility, and that feedback is proactively sought out regularly
Develop and execute on strategies to collect key user experience metrics, and leverage these metrics in setting product design strategies and roadmap priorities
Partner with Product teams to determine the best course of user research, user experience testing, and validation
Ensure all product design deliverables meet the calendar requirements of the overall product development schedules. Continually assess the time impact on deliverables. Contribute to the resolution
Provide direction for the UX Designer and Business Analyst team, including managing product development activities, product marketing plans, and the monitoring of product performance to ensure that internal and external customer needs are met through profitable and efficient product delivery. Job Specifications
Typically has the following skills or abilities:
Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience; Minimum of 1 additional year of experience related to the functional area
Minimum of 3 years of management experience with responsibilities for hiring, training, assigning work, and managing the performance of direct reports
Advanced understanding of product design concepts, theories, and practices, as well as vision and/or health plan operations, concepts, and deployment techniques
Proven ability to plan large projects strategically and influence others to commit and adapt to frequent change
Proven ability to utilize analytical and problem-solving skills to make decisions, as well as escalate critical issues to senior management with risk mitigation plan alternatives
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to effectively use a variety of communication mediums and customized content for targeted audiences
Proven ability to communicate effectively to provide consultative services to Senior Management and other business partners on product issues

Experience designing validation techniques such as rapid prototyping, A/B testing, and moderated/unmoderated user testing
Familiarity with the optometric industry or similar healthcare verticals (clinical workflows, EHRs, insurance, retail)
Compensation range for the role is listed below. Applicable salary ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
