About the Role

Our partner is looking for a Procurement Director to lead the company’s purchasing, logistics, and planning functions with a service-oriented mindset that prioritizes efficiency, sustainability, and strategic alignment. This role will oversee the entire corporate supply chain and implement cost-saving and improvement-driven initiatives tailored to evolving business needs.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and continuously improve all supply chain processes, including planning, procurement, and logistics.
Collaborate with the Deputy General Manager to execute operational plans aligned with company goals.
Monitor warehouse and inventory reports, and coordinate the resolution of accounting discrepancies.
Ensure that all procurement and supply chain operations comply with national and international regulations.
Develop and implement sustainability-focused projects aligned with corporate ESG targets.
Supervise and support the performance and development of staff within the area of responsibility.
Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety, environmental, and quality standards; manage risks and opportunities effectively.
Operate in accordance with data protection laws and information security management systems.
Ensure implementation of board decisions and compliance with the company’s legal obligations.
Foster strong collaboration and communication with other departments and managers.
Propose and implement initiatives focused on continuous improvement and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
Minimum 10 years of experience in managerial roles, preferably with sector-specific experience.
Proficient in MS Office and ERP systems (especially SAP).
Experience in warehousing and textile industries is a plus.
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Residing in Istanbul (or Ankara) and open to travel.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Advanced negotiation and persuasion abilities.
Proficiency in English.
