Requirements
Minimum of a high school diploma or GED. Associate’s degree in computer science, business, or related field preferred.
1-3 years of previous work experience in IT preferred.
IT industry certification is highly preferred, i.e. CompTIA, Microsoft, or equivalent.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; experience with Encompass or similar mortgage processing systems is preferred.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts to all audiences.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.
Demonstrated ability to solve problems and influence outcomes.
Solid understanding of information security system principles and technologies, as well as project management methodologies.
What Your Day Will Look Like
The primary objective of the IT Support Specialist is to deliver high-level customer and technical support to more than 200 mortgage professionals across multiple offices. The IT Support Specialist monitors and improves the company’s computer processes, deploys Windows 11 secure-build machines and provides support to all staff on computer-related issues involved with both hardware and software.
The Following Duties Would Be Applicable
Utilize Freshdesk ITSM platform to log, prioritize, and track IT support requests while ensuring SLA adherence and maintaining detailed documentation.
Keep up to date on new technology in the mortgage field and assess the impact on our company.
Implement new technology to improve processes and improve customer service.
Provide IT support functions to all offices for the organization’s standard hardware, software and voice/data network solutions.
Responsible for the life-cycle maintenance of PCs, servers and LAN network connectivity equipment.
Establishing new user account credentials for various systems.
Provides users with appropriate support and advises for all account issues.
Assisting users in mobile device configuration (i.e. laptop, tablet, smart phone).
Support mobile application usage and remote access connectivity.
Assisting in the administration of company email.
Ensuring software licensing laws are adhered to.
Ensuring the company’s IT framework meets the requirements of the Privacy Act and Red Flags Security Program.
Becoming and remaining familiar with software applications being utilized by the company to provide support to the end users: i.e. MS Office suite, Encompass, LOS, proprietary applications.
Overseeing local IT vendors and contracts.
Travel to other offices as needed; some out-of-state travel may be required.
Perform other duties as assigned.
