Job description

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

The Systems Engineer – Corporate Systems & Cloud Infrastructure is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise systems across both on-premises datacenters and cloud environments. This role will play a key part in modernizing infrastructure, supporting hypervisors such as SCALE, Hyper-V, or similar, and contributing to the development and execution of a cloud adoption strategy aligned with a “cloud smart” approach.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Design, deploy, and maintain scalable and secure systems in both on-prem and cloud environments (Azure).
  • Support and manage hypervisors including SCALE, Hyper-V, or other virtualization platforms.
  • Implement and maintain hyperconverged infrastructure solutions.
  • Administer and optimize Windows Server environments and Microsoft 365 services.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute a cloud adoption and migration strategy.
  • Ensure high availability, performance, and security of corporate systems.
  • Manage and monitor backup and disaster recovery solutions to ensure data integrity and business continuity.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues across hybrid environments.
  • Document system configurations, procedures, and best practices.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to existing infrastructure.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in systems engineering or infrastructure roles.
  • Hands-on experience with SCALE, Hyper-V, or other hypervisor technologies.
  • Strong understanding of hyperconverged infrastructure solutions.
  • Proficiency in Windows Server administration and Microsoft 365.
  • Experience with Azure cloud services and hybrid cloud environments.
  • Proven ability to contribute to cloud migration and modernization initiatives.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

 

JOB LOCATION:

The position is remote, with occasional travel to IEM facilities as needed.
