We are looking for a motivated and solution-oriented team player (m/w/d) with a flair for individual customer requirements and a strong hands-on mentality. As a (Senior) Migration Specialist - Cloud Engineer, you will play an important role in the delivery of complex cloud projects and take responsibility for the planning and execution of cloud migrations.

  • Technical consulting and conception: You will advise our customers on the end-to-end migration process to the cloud. You will design secure, scalable, and cost-efficient target architectures in AWS.
  • Implementation and execution of migrations: You will lead and implement migration projects, including the setup and automation of landing zones, data migration, and application migration. You will ensure the stability, performance, and security of migrated workloads and support the cutover to production environments.
  • Pre-sales, customer acquisition, and migration scoping: You will support the sales team in scoping and estimating migration efforts, preparing migration proposals, and demonstrating our migration expertise to customers. You will inspire potential customers with your technical know-how and your enthusiasm for cloud modernization.
  • Knowledge transfer and training: You will share best practices on AWS migrations with colleagues and customers through workshops and training. You will contribute to building internal migration playbooks and reusable assets to strengthen our delivery capability.

Your profile:
A Cloud migration enthusiast with AWS focus!

  • Background: You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a STEM field or a related area, with extensive experience in technical roles, especially with a focus on migrations.
  • AWS Expertise: You know your way around AWS, with at least 2 years of hands-on experience. Familiarity with key cloud services and tools is essential, and certifications like AWS Solution Architect are a big plus - or you’re ready to earn one!
  • DevOps and SRE skills: You have proven experience in implementing CI/CD pipelines, automation, and infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, AWS CDK). You are familiar with SRE practices and cloud-native tools for monitoring, logging, and alerting (e.g., AWS CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana).
  • Database migration: You have hands-on experience with migrating databases to cloud-native solutions such as AWS RDS or Aurora, and understand the challenges of data integrity and minimal downtime.
  • Container technologies: You have practical experience migrating and operating containerized workloads with Kubernetes (EKS) or AWS ECS/Fargate.
  • Project management experience: You have experience in managing IT projects and are familiar with agile methods such as Scrum or Kanban. Ideally, you are able to plan, organize and successfully complete complex projects.
  • Strong Communicator: You are comfortable expressing ideas in English (German is a plus) and can explain technical topics in simple terms to different audiences. You enjoy working with others and building good relationships with customers or teammates.
  • Eager Learner: You love to learn and are excited about picking up new technologies and tools. You're curious, adaptable, and always ready to take on new challenges. Willingness to strengthen your knowledge in project management is also highly valued.
