SUMMARY Overview Of The Position

We are looking to add a designer to our team that is excited to bring the world of sports and entertainment collectibles to life, engaging new collectors and adding them to the legacy of a globally recognized brand. Join a dynamic team of creatives that are passionate about collaborative and innovative design. The Designer role will report to the Design Manager and work on both print/digital trading cards and collectibles in the sports, multi-sport and professional wrestling spaces.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by an individual assigned to this job. Other duties may be assigned.

Provide high-quality designs for sports and entertainment trading cards, collectibles, packaging and solicitation materials.
Innovate within the established brand architecture of Upper Deck and its licensors.
Manages time wisely and work with the Project Manager to meet deadlines.
Develops strong relationships with other departments to work cohesively on product development and production.
Reports directly to the Design Manager
Shows passion for exploration and keeping up with trends both inside and outside of the industry.

Education/Years Experience

BA in Design or Graphic Arts or a closely related field or equivalent experience.
2+ years of experience in the field of design or in a related area.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

Proven ability to provide professional design solutions and recommendations.
Flexibility and unique voice in design collaboration.
Knowledge of sports, professional wrestling and trading card industry a plus.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with the ability to handle multiple, high priority projects with keen attention to detail.
Professional demeanor; team player orientation. Ability to interface with internal parties at all levels.
Ability to perform duties under minimal supervision while exercising discretion and independent judgment.
Hands on, energetic and motivated self-starter.
Solid understanding of the Macintosh work platform with associated graphic arts software programs.
