We are looking for a full stack engineer to join the team and help us to build rich web experiences that delight our customers and empower our financial planning teams to do their best work. This role includes development of user-facing web experiences using Typescript and React as well as APIs and services in Java running serverless using AWS. The ideal candidate should share our passion for developing great software that helps to move peoples' financial lives forward. 

Responsibilities:

• Developing features for our single page web applications in Typescript using React 

• Working on common components in our customer experience monorepo that are used by multiple web applications and tested using Storybook 

• Designing & developing microservices in Java using AWS lambda functions 

• Taking requirements from idea to implementation including work estimation, collaboration with our product team, development, testing, code review and deployment 

• Actively collaborating with peers on the squad through code reviews, pair programming, interactive design sessions and team retrospectives 

• Developing automated tests using Jest, Cypress or other tools 

Requirements:

• 3-5 years software development experience including experience developing web applications using React, Angular or a similar Javascript-based framework 

• Work with GraphQL to access REST APIs and retrieve data 

• Familiarity in using AI-powered tools for software development, such as GitHub Copilot, for tasks including code review, writing unit tests and code generation 

• Experience working in an agile environment such as SCRUM or Kanban is a plus 

• Proficiency in developing APIs with Java and JavaScript, particularly using Node.js or equivalent frameworks. 

• Familiarity with the AWS cloud platform is preferable. 

• Bachelor's degree required
