Job description

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Android Mobile Application Engineer to join our in-house software development team. You will be responsible for developing native Android applications for a fan community marketing platform (DtoC project) that connects our company with its customers. In this role, you will work closely with UI/UX designers and business stakeholders to ensure a user-centered design while considering the business feasibility and technical quality of the product.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop Android mobile applications for fan community engagement
Collaborate closely with designers and business team members to refine application requirements and user experience
Provide technical coaching and guidance to junior engineers
Create and maintain test cases, test suites, and automation/unit tests
Conduct code reviews and perform code coverage analysis
Implement and manage security testing protocols
Contribute to DevOps and CI/CD pipelines
Work in a cross-functional team with front-end, back-end, infrastructure, and security specialists
Participate in the continuous improvement of development processes and technologies

Work Hours: 8:45 AM – 5:30 PM

Must-Have Qualifications:

3+ years of experience in Android mobile application development and release
Proficiency in Kotlin and Android SDK
Bachelor’s degree or technical college graduate
Regular driver’s license (AT-only accepted)

Preferred Skills:

Hands-on experience with test automation tools (e.g., Python, XCUITest, Android Jetpack)
Familiarity with AWS services and cloud-based development
Understanding of DevOps/SRE practices
Experience with software quality assurance and mobile platform optimization
Exposure to secure coding practices and security engineering
Ability to work across multiple time zones (especially Japan and India)
Business-level English communication (Japanese is a plus but not mandatory)
