We are seeking an experienced Data Modeler/Architect to join our technical team and lead the design and implementation of a Corporate Tax 360 Data Analytics solution. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in data modeling, architecture, and analytics, with exposure to the financial industry or public sector. Strong expertise in open-source platforms is essential to drive scalable and efficient data solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement enterprise data models for corporate tax analytics, ensuring alignment with business requirements.
- Develop and optimize data architectures for large-scale tax data processing, reporting, and predictive analytics.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Tax, Finance, IT) to integrate data from multiple sources into a unified analytics platform.
- Evaluate and recommend open-source technologies (e.g., Apache Spark, Kafka, PostgreSQL, Python/R) for data processing and storage.
- Ensure data governance, security, and compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., tax laws, GDPR).
- Mentor junior team members and provide technical leadership in data strategy.
Required Qualifications:
- 10+ years of hands-on experience in data modeling, architecture, and analytics.
- Background in financial services, tax domains, or public sector (government/regulatory data experience is a plus).
- Expertise in open-source data platforms (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Airflow, Elasticsearch) and cloud-based solutions.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, or R for data manipulation and analytics.
- Strong understanding of ETL/ELT processes, data warehousing, and dimensional modeling.
- Excellent communication skills to translate business tax requirements into technical solutions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with tax-specific data systems (e.g., SAP Tax, Vertex) or regulatory reporting.
- Knowledge of AI/ML applications in tax analytics (fraud detection, predictive modeling).
