Job description

Mission – Why we exist, what we do, and why we need you

SpotMe is a leading B2B event platform that helps enterprises increase the impact of their events by delivering CRM-connected, high-quality experiences across in-person, virtual, hybrid events, and webinars. With a strong focus on life sciences, SpotMe powers Onomi: an HCP engagement product that enables medical and commercial teams to run impactful congresses, symposia, advisory boards, and webinars. Together, SpotMe and Onomi turn events into a company’s most effective engagement channel.

We empower a distributed, digital-first workforce by providing a reliable, secure, and streamlined IT environment. From SaaS and identity management to endpoint security and office infrastructure, we ensure employees have the tools they need to work efficiently - without compromising on security or compliance.

We are looking for a proactive, initiative-driven Senior System Administrator who thrives in a hybrid environment of cloud-native tools and physical infrastructure. You will be the go-to person for everything IT: managing SaaS platforms like Google Workspace, Slack, and Jira, maintaining hardware and software lifecycles, implementing security best practices, and supporting compliance efforts like ISO and SOC2. Your impact will be felt across the entire organization, from onboarding new hires to keeping our digital fortress secure.

You will report to the VP of Engineering and work closely with our CISO. You’ll take full ownership of day-to-day IT operations while helping to scale and secure our infrastructure. Your time will be spent on:

  • IT operations & SaaS management (40%)
    • Administer core SaaS platforms (Google Workspace, Jira, Slack, Zoom, etc.), including user lifecycle, access rights, and integrations.
    • Maintain centralized inventory and access controls across all SaaS tools.
Manage SSO configurations, enforce permission models, and help drive tool consolidation where needed.
    • Act as the point of contact for vendor and license management.
  • Infrastructure & security (30%)
    • Deploy and manage an MDM solution (e.g., Jamf, Intune) across our distributed Mac-based device fleet.
Implement and maintain endpoint protection (EDR/XDR like CrowdStrike or SentinelOne).
    • Ensure compliance with zero-trust principles through conditional access and device posture enforcement.
Manage DNS records, domain registrations, and SSL/TLS certificates.
  • Hardware, office IT & support (20%)
    • Oversee procurement, provisioning, and lifecycle management of employee laptops.
Maintain asset tracking for 100–150 employees, across remote and office-based setups.
    • Support in-office equipment (monitors, printers, Wi-Fi, etc.).
    • Handle IT help requests and troubleshoot issues with a customer-first mindset.
  • Compliance & documentation (10%)
    • Maintain internal IT documentation, including onboarding/offboarding guides, how-to’s, and policies.
    • Assist with internal and external audits for ISO 27001 and SOC2 compliance.
    • Monitor and apply OS/software patches to meet compliance and security standards.
Objectives – The problems you will solve
In your first month:
  • Audit current SaaS stack and prepare a complete inventory, including access policies.
Take ownership of Google Workspace and Jira, including user provisioning flows.
  • Standardize laptop provisioning and initiate MDM setup across all active devices.
  • Create and publish updated onboarding/offboarding procedures.

After 2 months:

  • Achieve 100% MDM deployment across active Macs.
  • Document SSL, DNS, and domain ownership with next renewal dates.
  • Reduce ticket resolution time to under 2 business days for 90% of IT support issues.
  • Collaborate with People and Culture and Security to fully automate employee offboarding workflows.

After 6 months:

  • Implement role-based access controls (RBAC) across at least 5 key SaaS platforms.
Ensure patch management policies are automated and enforced via MDM.
  • Successfully pass an internal IT compliance review with no critical gaps.
  • Maintain 100% visibility on hardware inventory with accurate tracking.
After 12 months:
  • Lead implementation of a zero-trust device compliance model across the company.
  • Rationalize SaaS tool usage, reducing redundancy and cutting underused licenses by at least 15%.
  • Support scaling the company to 150+ headcount without adding more than 1 IT FTE.
  • Contribute directly to ISO/SOC2 audit success through documentation, tooling, and system improvements.
