As a DevOps Manager, you will help revitalize our customer-facing tooling across our platform with a comprehensive technical strategy to simplify and amplify these user experiences and the capabilities they enable. Our DevOps Manager will lead a team of skilled engineers responsible for ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of our infrastructure across all environments. This role will provide people leadership, technical direction, and process discipline to modernize our deployment practices, balancing legacy systems with cloud-native architecture.
The Manager, Software Engineering - DevOps; will own and evolve our CI/CD pipelines, incident response processes, observability tooling, and infrastructure standards to support fast, safe, and sustainable software delivery. In partnership with engineering, security, and product stakeholders, they’ll align infrastructure work with strategic goals, enforce operational excellence, and manage infrastructure cost optimization. This role is both tactical and strategic—mentoring engineers, enforcing accountability, and leading critical reliability efforts that power the broader organization.
Beyond the technical side, you will have the opportunity to lead and mentor a talented group of engineers. Your role will put you at the heart of our technology and business strategy, as you'll be collaborating closely with application engineers, product managers, and security/compliance stakeholders.
People management for 5-8 ICs: set expectations, provide development opportunities, coaching, conduct 1:1s, hold team members accountable for results.
Drive the reliability, scalability, and security of our infrastructure across development, staging, and production environments.
Support the modernization of deployment practices across hybrid environments, balancing legacy infrastructure and evolving modern systems.
Own and improve deployment pipelines, management workflows, and observability tooling to support fast and reliable software delivery.
Define and enforce standards, including configuration management, incident response, SLOs.
Manage infrastructure cost optimization and work with our Cloud Team on capacity planning and cloud resource allocation.
Collaborate closely with application engineers, product managers, and security/compliance stakeholders to align infrastructure delivery with roadmap and regulatory needs.
Coordinate on-call rotations and lead incident response; serve as on-call manager in the team on call rotation and postmortem activities.
7+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure engineering roles, including 3+ years managing a DevOps team.
Deep understanding of cloud architecture (AWS preferred), infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation), and container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes).
Extensive experience in designing, implementing, and managing end-to-end CI/CD pipelines.
Track record of building repeatable, scalable infrastructure practices that reduce toil and increase reliability.
Excellent communication skills and experience working cross-functionally with developers, QA, security, and product teams.
Ability to collaborate effectively, provide constructive feedback, and resolve conflicts.
Experience working closely with stakeholders in nontechnical business roles.
Strong project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, allocate resources, and manage project timelines.
Experience managing hybrid environments or supporting platform modernization from legacy systems.
Certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer.
Working knowledge of cost management tools and practices in cloud environments.
