About WorldQuant BRAIN:

BRAIN is a group within WorldQuant similar to a traditional B2C fintech setup. Our mission is to simplify quant finance and provide global remote-work opportunities to participants, while they learn quant finance, AI and ML concepts. WorldQuant Brain provides an advanced crowdsourcing platform for external participants to contribute signals, data, and more.

The Role: WorldQuant is seeking exceptional individuals to join as AI Researchers. In this full-time role, you will work in of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Large Language Models (LLMs), applying techniques to develop  quantitative models for WorldQuant’s BRAIN platform.

As part of this role, you will:

• Conduct research in AI and LLMs, experimenting with advanced architectures such as Transformer models, Reinforcement Learning, and Generative AI.
• Design, train, and fine-tune LLMs and other AI models to extract insights, and generate signals
• Apply AI concepts to create and enhance alphas on the BRAIN platform.
• Analyze large-scale financial datasets to seek to uncover patterns and build models using statistical, mathematical, and machine learning techniques.
• Collaborate with platform development teams to design and test new functionalities and datasets.
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in AI and LLM research, identifying opportunities to integrate them into quantitative finance applications.

What You’ll Bring:

• Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in AI, Machine Learning (ML), and LLMs; proficiency in Python and C++; familiarity with PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Quantitative Skills: Solid foundation in mathematics, statistics, and quantitative modeling; experience with financial datasets is a plus.
• Educational Background: Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science, AI, Mathematics, Financial Engineering, or related fields from a leading university.
• Research Mindset: Creative problem solver with a passion for experimentation and unsolved challenges; strong interest in financial markets.
• Collaborative Skills: Ability to work in a team-oriented culture; excellent communication and presentation skills in English.

직무: WorldQuant는 AI 연구원으로 합류할 뛰어난 인재를 찾고 있습니다. WorldQuant BRAIN 플랫폼을 위한 퀀트 모델을 개발하기 위해 다양한 인공지능(AI) 및 대규모 언어 모델(LLM) 기술을 적용하는 역할입니다.

• Transformer 모델, 강화 학습(Reinforcement Learning), 생성형 AI(Generative AI)와 같은 고급 아키텍처를 활용하여 AI 및 LLM(대규모 언어 모델) 연구 수행
• LLM 및 기타 AI 모델을 설계하여 학습시키고 fine-tuning하여 인사이트를 도출하고 시그널 개발
• AI 개념을 적용하여 BRAIN 플랫폼에서 시그널 (알파) 개발 및 개선
• 금융 데이터셋을 분석하여 패턴을 발견하고 통계, 수학, 머신러닝 기술을 사용하여 모델 구축
• 플랫폼 개발팀과 협력하여 신규 기능과 데이터셋 설계 및 테스트 과정 수행
• AI 및 LLM 연구의 최신 발전 사항을 지속적으로 업데이트하며, 이를 퀀트금융 어플리케이션에 적용할 수 있는 기회를 탐구

자격 요건:

• 기술 전문성: AI, 머신러닝(ML), LLM(대규모 언어 모델)에 대한 깊은 지식과 실무 경험; Python 및 C++ 언어와 PyTorch 또는 TensorFlow에 대한 숙련도
• 정량적 분석력: 수학, 통계, 정량적 모델링에 대한 탄탄한 기초; 금융 데이터셋을 다뤄본 경험 우대
• 학력: 컴퓨터공학, AI, 수학, 금융공학 또는 관련 분야에서 국내외 유수의 대학의 학사 이상의 학위 소지자
• 리서치 마인드셋: 창의적 문제 해결 능력과 미해결 과제를 탐구하고 실험하는 것에 대한 열정; 금융 시장에 대한 강한 관심
• 협업 능력: 팀 중심의 문화에서 일할 수 있는 능력; 뛰어난 영어 소통 및 발표 능력
