Liebherr-International AG (CH) is the parent company of the Liebherr Group and performs various functions in the areas of compliance, finance, human resources, law, auditing, corporate communication, and insurance.
We are looking to fill the position of Head of Political Affairs as soon as possible in
Nussbaumen (AG) or Bulle (FR).
Tasks:
- Shape, implement and operationalize Liebherr’s political affairs strategy from the ground up, including the interest representation organization and processes on Group level
- Establish a close collaboration with Liebherr divisions to align and coordinate interest representation activities in technical and political advocacy
- Structure, manage, and orchestrate the execution of initiatives at the appropriate levels of political decision-making, in collaboration with Liebherr’s divisions.
- Build and effectively manage the supplier base for interest representation service providers, effectively executing initiatives in partnership with these providers
- Introduce a monitoring and analysis framework for political developments at national and European levels to assess opportunities, risks and impact on Liebherr
- Develop and implement measures to enhance political engagement in Germany and Switzerland
- Prepare analyses, briefings, and key messages for internal and external meetings to ensure informed decision-making and effective communication in political and technical advocacy
- Represent the Liebherr Group externally in the area of governmental relations & political affairs (at selected occasions)
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in German and English - additional languages are a plus.
- University degree or comparable degree in Political Science, Law, Communications, Business Administration, Economics, European studies, political or social sciences or a related field
- 4-5 years of experience in a comparable role with previous practical experience in government relations, political/public affairs, or a related field, including relevant roles at e.g. an interest representation service provider, with a focus on Germany and Switzerland.
- Strong understanding of political processes, decision-making, and institutions at the national and EU levels, with a proven ability to navigate these processes and effectively communicate with specialists in political affairs.
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral), with the ability to articulate complex topics clearly to diverse audiences.
- Engaging and collaborative personality with a strong ability to maintain networks and work effectively in cross-divisional teams.
- Passion about driving change in complex organizations and building new organizational capabilities
