Husband and wife team Chef JP and Ellia combine their love for food and hospitality. Together and alongside the NA:EUN hospitality team, they manage Atoboy, Atomix and Naro in New York City.
Located in the iconic Rockefeller Center, NARO comes from husband-and-wife team chef Junghyun “JP” & CEO Ellia Park of NA:EUN Hospitality (Atomix, Atoboy, ACRU). NARO reimagines the Korean classics of JP and Ellia’s heritage through a contemporary lens, while honoring the rich foundations of Korean cooking. A blend of traditional techniques, thoughtful sourcing and ingredient seasonality crafts an approachable experience that captures the depth of Korean flavors.
Position Overview:
NARO is looking for experienced and dedicated Hosts (with AM and PM availabilities) to join our team. As a Host at NARO, you will work in conjunction with the NARO team in setting a strong foundation with our reservation system and managing existing reservations.
We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic individual, with a strong work ethic, and an endless curiosity to learn and grow with our restaurant.
This position reports to the NARO Front-of-House Managers. For this position, we are offering $18-$21 an hour, depending on experience.
Hosts responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Be available to answer phone calls during service hours.
Greeting guests with sincerity and seating guests with graciousness.
Providing warm hospitality to guests as they wait for their tables.
Maintaining cleanliness in all guest-facing areas of the reception hallways, host stand, washrooms, and coat check.
Assisting guests with checking coats, bags, umbrellas, etc
Communicating table needs to ensure a smooth service and that all reservations are seated in a timely manner.
Having an intimate knowledge of all allergens in our food and beverage offerings, and working with the kitchen as a liaison for our guests to accommodate their dietary needs whenever possible.
Maintain detailed notes for our guests.
Building rapport with guests, greeting guests, marking guest preferences, and ensuring the comfort and enjoyment of all those that dine with us.
Communicating with guests regarding upcoming reservations and answering any inquiries regarding NARO.
Qualified Hosts candidates must be energetic, enthusiastic, and have a great attitude, as well as:
Broad and flexible availability to work daytime and evenings
At least 1 year of fine dining service experience (preferably in a host or maitre d’ role)
Must be able to demonstrate an extensive depth of organizational skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office and/or Google Workplace
Previous experience with Resy is beneficial, but not required
Knowledge and/or experience with Korean food & beverage is a plus but not required

Stand and walk for an entire shift, including moving safely through all areas of the restaurant
